RM50 mill F5E engine missing. Is that a tip of an iceberg?

1. An interesting news appeared in the NST today where it was reported that the RMAF is missing a RM50 mill F5E engine. I laugh when I read the news. The first thing I did was sent a few SMS to some friends whom had seen retired from the Air Force. The former Air Force chief replied my SMS with a simple message; “Malaysia Boleh”.

2. Who could imagine that a RM50 mill engine in the Air Force logistic HQ in Sungei Besi can go missing? The news paper quoted the AF Chief, reported that it is a tip of an iceberg. There is a possibility that many things has gone missing. Things that was hardly used. In the case of the F5E engine, the Air Force wanted to test their remaining F5 two-seater in its inventory and they found out that some of them are in good working order. It was when they decided to replace the engine of one of the aircraft that they realized that it was missing.

3. If my memory serves me correctly, a few years ago while I was in TUDM, there were rumors that the someone went into the Sg. Besi camp in the early hours of the morning and drove away with the Air Force chief car. I think they still haven’t found the car till today.

4. On June 25th, 1988, Lt Wahi Anuar Mat Amin which flew the Skyhawk from Kuantan towards Labuan, break his formation and disappeared in the South China Sea. His remain or pieces of the Skyhawk aircraft was never found till today despite the international efforts involving the Indonesian, US and Singapore Armed Forces.

5. It seems the RMAF have the habits of losing their assets regularly. I wonder what else would go missing. My gut feeling says that I don’t think the RMAF actually knows what they have and what they don’t. They better count how many bombs and missiles that they actually have.

6. I suspect that they would not even realize that something is missing until when someone wants to use it. May I suggest that the Air Force chief buy a bunch of padlocks from the hardware shop and fixed it on the remaining Russian made fighter jets and the C130s transport aircraft? We don’t want someone does a David Copperfield magic and the whole C130 would disappear from the tarmac! Ai yo! Yo!, chief, bikin malu la saja.

Enjin Disedari Hilang Apabila Ia Tidak Sampai Ke Destinasi, Kata Zahid

- Bernama

Aku cuma nak kata:

Sebut saja anggota TUDM.

Beliau juga kata sistem yang digunakan TUDM
cukup baik. Kalau cukup baik mengapa perlu dirombak sepenuh nya. Itu menunjukan kan sistem TUDM kurang baik sehingga terpaksa dirombak sepenuh nya dan bukan sebahagian nya.

Sekian
